Hardcover. Condition: Very good condition. First Edition. 252 pages of text. Green leather spine and corners, with marbled paper-covered boards. The spine is slightly darkened and rubbed. Top edge (of the closed pages covered in) gilt. Complete with 60 hand-coloured ornithological plants. The text is slightly to moderately foxed, and there are a few small tears and chips to several page edges. Most plates are pristine, although some have at least one or two spots of foxing in the image area, and some have a half dozen or in several cases more. The images remain striking with vivid hand-coloring. First edition.
